Liverpool won a massive 92.3 per cent of the aerial duels on the night - with Andy Carroll, Jose Enrique, Martin Skrtel, Glen Johnson and Jay Spearing also winning every single one of theirs.

The Reds Liverpool peppered Newcastle's area with a total of 35 crosses into the box, compared with just seven from the visitors.

Cheik Tiote made more passes than anyone - attempting to play the ball to a teammate on 92 occasions with an 85.9 per cent accuracy rate. The Newcastle midfielder also touched the ball the most - 103.

Kenny Dalglish's side threatened with seven corners, but Newcastle didn't have a single one on the night.
