With an eagerly-anticipated Carling Cup final just two days away, we asked Reds from around the world to get in touch and let us know how they'll be making their way to the famous Wembley arch.

And, as expected, the lengths that some Kopites are prepared to go to ensure they will be in London in time to watch Kenny Dalglish's side take on Cardiff on Sunday, are astounding.

Here, we bring you a selection of some of our favourites.

Me and my son, Jason, are die-hard Liverpool fans and we live in a small town in Iceland, called Akureyri. We managed to get our hands on tickets to the Carling Cup final at Wembley and the excitement is mounting. Since Akureyri is located in the northern part of Iceland, our journey will start on Thursday with a five hour drive across Iceland, to the capital city of Reykjavík in the south. Early Friday morning we will take a Fly-bus to the international airport in Keflavik, from where we will be flying for three hours to London. The father-son weekend will hopefully end with a Liverpool win at Wembley on Sunday. To make this Carling Cup final even more special for us, a player from our local side (Thor) here in Akureyri, Aron Gunnarsson, will be playing for Cardiff at Wembley.
Geir Kristinn and Jason Orri  (Akureyri, Iceland)

I'm travelling from Nuuk, Greenland. I take-off from Nuuk airport Friday morning and touch down in Copenhagen on Friday evening (via Kangerlussuaq airport). Saturday morning, it's the first plane to London with my friend from Denmark. I'm praying for good weather in Greenland!
Kunuunnguaq Heilmann Overgaard (Nuuk, Greenland)

On Friday we will be flying from Chicago to London. We will arrive on Saturday morning where we will meet my Mum who is flying in from Dublin. She has never been to a match and it's her dream to go to Wembley for a cup final. We are all huge Liverpool supporters.
Renee Labrana (Chicago)

I'm leaving Dubai for Abu Dhabi by taxi (100 miles) this Friday. Then heading for Manchester by plane (3500 miles). I'll take a car to Ellesmere Port (40 miles) till Saturday night, then a train from Ellesmere Port to Liverpool (25 miles). Then I'll head for Birmingham (80 miles) and change for Redditch (20 miles). I'll be picked-up in Redditch and driven to Evesham Worcs. (20 miles), leave Evesham by van early Sunday morning and off to Wembley (150 miles) on the march with Kenny's army. That's 7870 miles there and back. Watching Liverpool win the Carling Cup at new Wembley...priceless.
Graham Brumby (Chairman of Liverpool Supporters Club Dubai)

I am from Austria and will come over this weekend to England with some friends. We start our journey on Friday from Austria (Deutschkreutz, about 80km south of Vienna, near the Hungarian border). We will go by car to Budapest (this takes three hours and is about 250km). Then we'll take a plane to Manchester. From there we take the train to Lime Street and enjoy a Friday night in Liverpool. Saturday, we hope to feel the anticipation of the Reds supporters in the city and in the pubs. On Sunday, we will go down to London by train early in the morning and come back with the trophy.
Hubert Heidelberger (Deutschkreutz, Austria)

Thirteen of us are coming from Indonesia to England to watch the Reds and King Kenny's long-awaited trip to Wembley. All of us are from Big Reds IOLSC (Indonesian Official LFC Supporters Club). We will be travelling on February 24, arriving on the same date and spending three nights in London. It will be a dream come true. For most of us, it is our first trip to England. Watching Gerrard, King Kenny, Suarez, Kuyt, Reina and Carra will be unbelievable. And watching them with thousands of Liverpool's faithful will definitely be wonderful.
Wijaya Tandy (Indonesia)

I'll be leaving Belfast International on Saturday night to Gatwick and will be staying in central London. I'll get the tube to Wembley and travel back Monday morning. So lucky to get the ticket, I know, but I would rather be travelling under different circumstances. My mum passed away last week, but she would be cross with me if I missed the opportunity. She always prayed for LFC when they were playing and God knows sometimes we needed them! Thanks Tessie for your love and support hope you're with me on this next journey and always!
Terrence Butcher (Belfast)

I am a 25-year-old fan from South Africa and I am getting on a plane on Friday night in Cape Town. I will be flying on Emirates via Dubai and then into London. I arrive late on Saturday night and cannot wait to be at the game on Sunday. I am travelling 18 hours to London and 18 hours back to be at Wembley and will be in the UK for a sum total of 40 hours!
Dale Smiedt (South Africa)

My son I-Zack and I will be at the Carling Cup final this Sunday. We are die-hard Liverpool supporters. I started in 1977, when we won the league, then lost the FA Cup final to Manchester United but bounced back fantastically to win the European Cup four days later. I-Zack and my two girls were brought up as Reds through and through. We'll be taking the 13-hour flight from Singapore on Friday morning and will touch down in London on Friday evening.
Jack (Singapore)

My father, Steinar Vardehaug, turned 60 last December, and he has been a devoted Liverpool FC fan since he was a little boy. I thought that a trip to Liverpool to see his favorite team play at Anfield would be the perfect birthday present. As his present, he chose to go to the match between Liverpool and Everton, scheduled this weekend. Luckily, we were offered to change the tickets to the final at Wembley and my father was really happy to get the opportunity to go see LFC win the trophy.
Hilde Vardehaug (Trondheim, Norway)

I've been a season ticket holder at Liverpool for nearly 20 years but recently moved out to Abu Dhabi in the UAE for work. Typically, in the first season I haven't been a regular, Liverpool have got to Wembley. Not to be deterred, I booked on a flight and will be coming over to the UK for four days to see the final. I'm booked on a plane back from Heathrow on the Sunday evening after the match, so I hope there isn't any extra time and penalties or I might miss my flight!
Dominique Pujol (Abu Dhabi)

I am originally from Liverpool but work and live in Czech Republic. I am taking my son with me as this is his birthday present - he was 26 in January. We will travel to Wembley with a few hours bus to the airport and then a flight into Stansted coming Friday. We will travel back to Czech Republic on Monday with a big smile on our faces regardless of the outcome!
Dennis Bridger (Czech Republic)

My son Adrian and I will stay overnight in Stuttgart, but we'll have to go to the airport very early. Our flight to London is at 06.50am. There is no chance of a flight back from London on Sunday night, so we will stay there and fly back to Stuttgart on Monday morning. I will take my son directly to school because he has very important lessons in maths and a very important test on Wednesday!
Juergen (Stuttgart, Germany)

I'm getting to Wembley from Hungary. I'm travelling on Friday by train, and then plane for the match and I'm taking a day off Uni.
Kabir S Boghal (Hungary)

I'm travelling from Adelaide, South Australia for the game. I have great memories of Liverpool: the first time I visited the city was on a Champions League final night. It changed my life and I ended up staying and living in the city for over two years. Great people, great city, great team.
Joshua Bartolo (Adelaide, Australia)

I'm from Australia, I flew to Amsterdam on Monday to stay with family in the hope I could get my hands on a ticket. Now that I've got one I'll be landing in London early Sunday morning. Very excited!
Jess Farlow (Australia)

I'm writing to tell you the story of my father who has just begun his journey to Wembley. Today (Thursday 23), he is leaving Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on a flight to Dubai. He will change at Dubai and fly to Manchester, landing at 7.10am on Friday. My father and I are then going down to Wembley for the Carling Cup final on Sunday.
Sivakumar Sathasivam (Kuala Lumpar)

A team of young players - 13 in total - from our Indonesian Soccer School in conjunction with the 'Big Reds' supporters club of Indonesia will be making the 14,556 mile round-trip (Jakarta to London) to watch the final. The trip will be followed by a week in the UK which will culminate in watching the Arsenal game the following Saturday.
Steven Turner (Jakarta, Indonesia)

My name is Unkar and I live in Vancouver, Canada. In 2007, I took a plane to Amsterdam, then a train to Bari though France, Belgium, Italy  and then a ship to Greece and finally a coach to Athens. I met and realised we do have the best supporters in the world, no matter where we come from. This time, I'm flying from Vancouver on Friday and I'm going back to Seattle after the final to catch a coach to Vancouver. I'm taking my 10-year-old son with me for our first Liverpool final.
Unkare Heer (Vancouver, Canada)

On Friday, me and my fiancée are going to London in order to watch the match. We don't have tickets though, so we'll go outside Wembley to see the atmosphere and probably watch it in a pub. We want to be close to the team and show our support.
Cesare Bandini (Italy)

My journey to Wembley will start at 8pm on Saturday, when I leave Forfar to get on a Megabus bound for London. The bus will arrive in the capital at 7am. It's a long journey but I wouldn't miss the Reds at Wembley for anything. I travel down from Scotland to every home game so an extra few hours is nothing for me. One of my mates has managed to get a ticket too so I'm over the moon to be able to share the experience with him.
