Ngoo at the double for reserves
Liverpool Reserves secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wigan at Robin Park on Thursday afternoon thanks to a Michael Ngoo brace.
Rodolfo Borrell's side put in a confident performance to overcome Graham Barrow's men and stay third in the Barclay's Premier Reserve League North.
Ngoo went closest to breaking the deadlock in the first half when he hit the post on 44 minutes.
But the forward was composed as he put the Reds ahead after the interval. Raheem Sterling was played in down the right side of the Wigan penalty area and he picked-out the forward at the far post who steered the ball home.
On 76 minutes, Ngoo bagged his second after he powered his way down the wing, cut inside and slotted past former Red Chris Kirkland from the edge of the six-yard box.
