The defender made his senior bow on April 11, 2011 when he was handed a starting berth by Kenny Dalglish against Manchester City at Anfield.
Liverpool went on to record a comprehensive 3-0 victory over their opponents and Flanagan won plenty of plaudits for a display at right-back that belied his tender years.
