Vote: LFC's best PL strikers
After the conclusion of the Premier League's 20th season, Liverpoolfc.tv is asking fans to name the players that would make up their dream team of the last two decades.
Today we turn our attentions to the strikers - and we want you to decide which two have been our best forwards of the last 20 years.
Robbie Fowler (266 league apps 1993-2001, 2006-2007)
The fact Robbie Fowler is still referred to as 'God' by Liverpool fans tells you all you need to know about the Toxteth lad's ability. After bursting into the first-team as a teenager, Fowler surpassed the 30-goal mark three seasons running from 1994-95 to 1996-97. His highlights include a hat-trick against Arsenal scored in just three minutes and 35 seconds - still a Premier League record.
Michael Owen (216 league apps 1997-2004)
Michael Owen was another home-grown Liverpool striker who took the footballing world by storm. Breaking through at the age of 17, the diminutive frontman finished as joint-top scorer in the Premier League in his first full season. He went on to score 118 times in the top flight for the Reds.
Fernando Torres (102 league apps 2007-11)
Rafael Benitez broke Liverpool's transfer record to land Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2007 - and the striker instantly repaid his fee with a glut of goals. The Spaniard plundered the most number of goals scored by a for foreigner in a debut season in the Premier League with 24 strikes.
Luis Suarez (44 league apps 2011 - )
Luis Suarez required little time to adapt to the Premier League following his transfer from Ajax as he marked his debut with a strike against Stoke. In the 18 months since, he's established himself as one of the finest talents in world football. An all-round striker with a penchant for the spectacular and incredible dribbling ability, Suarez is a fan favourite at Anfield.
Emile Heskey (150 league apps 2000-04)
The powerful front man became Liverpool's record signing when Gerard Houllier acquired his services from Leicester City. Heskey was a key part of the 2001 treble winners - his most prolific season in front of goal.
Peter Crouch (85 league apps 2005-08)
Benitez surprised many when he moved to add Peter Crouch to his Istanbul heroes, but the giant striker proved a highly effective purchase. Far from the archetypical target man, Crouch was blessed with a delicate touch and exceptional skill.
Stan Collymore (61 league apps 1995-97)
Roy Evans broke the British transfer record to land Stan Collymore in the summer of 1995. The powerful frontman enjoyed an impressive debut season at Anfield, forming a prolific partnership with Fowler. He left for Aston Villa in the summer of 1997 having scored 26 goals in 61 league appearances.
Ian Rush (469 league apps 1980-87, 1988-96)
The legendary Ian Rush was heading towards the tail end of his prolific career when the Premier League was formed in 1992, but the Welshman's predatory instincts were as sharp as ever. He scored 14 goals in 1992-93 and matched that figure again a year later. Rushie netted a further 17 league goals before he joined Leeds United in 1996.
