Every Liverpool supporter dreams of walking out onto the hallowed Anfield turf with 'You'll Never Walk Alone' blaring in the background before stepping up and netting in style in front of the Kop.

And for one lucky youngster, nine-year-old Liam Carr from Liverpool, that dream became a reality last week when he took part in one of the club's International Soccer Schools which was being held at Anfield for the first time.

Over 100 schoolchildren were involved and Liam was on hand to guide LFC TV's cameras through the day's events.

Sporting brand-new boots complete with the Liverbird and his name imprinted on the side, Liam took to the pitch as the familiar tones of Gerry Marsden rang around the stadium and George Sefton, the Voice of Anfield, welcomed the children onto the pitch.

They were then coached in the Liverpool Way by official club staff, using a tried and tested 'six-station' system which involved drills aimed at honing the children's shooting, penalty taking and passing abilities among others.

In Liam's video, which you can watch by clicking below on the Official LFC Kids YouTube Channel, he talks us through the day's training routines, explains how his coaches taught him new techniques when striking the ball and caps it all off by emphatically curling a penalty into the top corner of the goal in front of the Kop.
