Merseyside Derbies rarely disappoint in terms of both passion and controversy and the match that took place at Goodison Park in October 2007 provided the neutrals with an own goal, two penalties, two red cards and much more.

It also provided Liverpool fans with a memorable home of their rivals from across Stanley Park.

Everton took the lead on 37 minutes when Sami Hyypia nodded the ball past his own 'keeper for 1-0. Tony Hibbert was then dismissed for a foul on Steven Gerrard and Dirk Kuyt stepped up to fire the resulting penalty past Tim Howard to equalise.

Gerrard was then substituted for Lucas Leiva to the bemusement of some Liverpool fans and to the delight of the home masses. However, the substitute almost clinched the win for Liverpool when he struck at goal and Phil Neville handled the ball on the line.

Neville was duly dismissed and the ever-reliable Kuyt smashed home the winner from the spot to send the away section of Goodison into ecstasy.

Each weeknight during the summer we'll reveal four more from our countdown from 6pm BST on LFC TV. 11-minute highlights will then be available on LFC TV Online the following morning. LFC TV is available FREE to view on SKY channel 434 and Virgin channel 544 (as part of the XL pack).
