Coming in at No.23 in Liverpool's Most Exciting PL Games is a 3-2 win over Everton at Anfield from 1999.
LFC's Most Exciting PL Games No.23: April 3, 1999. Liverpool 3-2 Everton.
Olivier Dacourt silenced Anfield when he fired Everton into the lead after just 41 seconds.
However, when Marco Materazzi felled Paul Ince on 15 minutes and Liverpool were awarded a penalty, Robbie Fowler stepped up and smashed the ball home. Six minutes later, he struck again to put the Reds ahead.
Michael Owen almost made it three for the home side after perseverance from Patrik Berger saw the ball bounce into the England forward's path but he was unable to apply the finish. Instead Berger took it upon himself and fired home a beauty of a volley to make it 3-1.
Francis Jeffers reduced the arrears but Steven Gerrard cleared two efforts off the line on his derby debut as Liverpool held out to come away with the three points.
