Ian St John is the focus of our attention in the first edition of a special series of the Liverpool Week podcast, which is now available to download for FREE.

Over the next few weeks, presenter Peter McDowall will be speaking to some Reds legends who have made the transition from the pitch to the dugout.

St John is first up - a striker who is credited with playing a major part in the revolution of the club under Bill Shankly in the early 1960s.

In this programme, he discusses his first job in management at Mothewell in 1973 and the problems that hampered his progress at Portsmouth.

The Saint was also interviewed for the Leeds United job before Brian Clough got it for those infamous 44 days in 1974. He talks about that and his bust-ups with players in this latest FREE to download Liverpool Week.
