Sterling shines for England
Raheem Sterling enjoyed an impressive debut for England U21s during the 1-0 win over Serbia at Carrow Road on Friday night.
The Liverpool winger started the game and had some good moments during his 65-minute run-out on the left wing.
He provided a superb through pass to Thomas Ince in the first-half but the former Liverpool man was denied when clean through.
Stuart Pearce's side take a 1-0 lead into Tuesday's second leg of the European Championship play-offs after a penalty from West Bromwich Albion's Craig Dawson gave them the victory at Norwich City.
Jordan Henderson captained the team and played the full 90 minutes in the centre of midfield, and came close to scoring with a rasping effort on the stroke of half-time that flew just wide.
Anfield teammates Jack Robinson and Andre Wisdom were not involved.
