Family enjoy 'special' Melwood visit
A Liverpool supporter plans to auction a signed Reds shirt for charity after meeting his heroes during a special visit to the club's training complex.
Carl Roberts, who suffers from a brain tumour, met manager Brendan Rodgers and captain Steven Gerrard, among others, when he visited Melwood alongside wife Amanda and sons Christian and Keegan.
Having had their Liverpool jerseys covered in star player signatures, Carl is hoping to raise money for a brain cancer charity by auctioning his shirt.
The family, who also received tickets for a match at Anfield, described the experience as 'special', with Carl commenting: "I can go home now with a smile on my face!"
