Hodgson gives Johnson update
England manager Roy Hodgson confirmed that Glen Johnson will be fit for Tuesday night's crucial World Cup qualifier against Group H leaders Montenegro in Podgorica.
The Liverpool full-back missed the Three Lions' 8-0 win over San Marino on Friday due to an apparent toe injury.
However, Hodgson today told reporters: "Glen is fine. He trained on Saturday morning and will train tonight.
"Fortunately we don't have any injury concerns at all."
As the senior side put the finishing touches to their Montenegro preparations tonight, England's youngsters will be in action.
And Liverpool will have five representatives in Stuart Pearce's U21s squad for the friendly clash against Austria.
Jordan Henderson is set to skipper the side, while Jonjo Shelvey, Andre Wisdom, Raheem Sterling and Jack Robinson are all in the frame to feature at the Amex Stadium in Brighton.
