Henry: He's one of England's greatest
Comfortably one of the top five defenders the English game has ever seen - that's how the legendary Thierry Henry described Jamie Carragher ahead of the Liverpool man's final game against QPR on Sunday.
Henry and Carragher had their fair share of duels during the Frenchman's glorious seven-year spell at Arsenal.
Carra didn't always come out on top against the Premier League's third-highest scorer of all time.
However, Henry remembered an opponent who was dedicated, rough in the tackle and who would put his body on the line for the Reds cause.
"When Carragher retires, it will be a sad day for any Liverpool fan and for anyone who likes the game," he told LFC TV's new 'Carragher' documentary.
"The memory that I have of him is someone who was loyal and committed.
"You will always remember him as a Liverpool player because that's the only team he played for.
"I have had incredible battles against him. I lost some and I won some but they were always fair and always hard. He's a competitor.
"For me, he will go down as one of the top five. If you talk about how long he has played for Liverpool and what he won there and what type of player he was, he will go down as one of the greatest in the history of the league."
A new documentary featuring Jamie Carragher's managers, teammates and some high-profile opponents airs for the first time at 7pm BST on Friday, May 24 on LFC TV. 'Carragher' will also be available on LFC TV Online and will conclude a fortnight of tributes across club media.
