By firing his sixth goal in seven Barclays Premier League matches yesterday, Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge maintained his position at the summit of the division's scoring charts.

Newcastle forward Loic Remy is the No.15's closest competitor, with five strikes, while teammate Luis Suarez has wasted no time in racing to three since his return to action last month.

With 20, Sturridge has also registered more shots on goal than any other player in the Premier League - one more than fellow forward Rickie Lambert of Southampton.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is also riding high in the ranking for key passes; the midfielder has completed 15 so far in 2013-14, second only to Sunderland winger Adam Johnson.

The 33-year-old features prominently in the list of regular crossers too, with our No.8 attempting 50 to date. Only Everton's Leighton Baines and Ahmed Elmohamady of Hull City have tried more.

Finally, glance at the Premier League ranking for saves by goalkeepers and you will quickly find Liverpool stopper Simon Mignolet, who has made 30 saves and trails only David Marshall in that department.
