Lucas ends two-year Brazil wait
Lucas Leiva made his first appearance for Brazil in almost two years during their 2-0 friendly victory over South Korea in Seoul on Saturday afternoon.
The 26-year-old had made 20 appearances for the South American country as of November 2011, before two long-term injuries disrupted his career.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari recalled Lucas to his Selecao squad for a double-header against South Korea and Zambia, however, as the World Cup hosts continue their preparation for next summer.
The midfielder was introduced for the final 21 minutes of the match, replacing Luiz Gustavo. Brazil ran out 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Neymar and Oscar.
Scolari's team return to action when they play African side Zambia in Beijing on Tuesday.
