For today's view from the opposition, we asked Cardiff City fanatic Andrew Birch which Liverpool player he'd most like to see donning his team's colours at Anfield today, and he gave us a fairly unambiguous response - Luis Suarez…

Andy, tell us about Cardiff's season so far...

We've had some great results at home, owing largely to the hostile atmosphere we've managed to create against the 'bigger' clubs. Against the top teams, we tend to sit back, mainly posing a threat from set-pieces. Steven Caulker is a real threat in these situations and we've always got a chance from free-kicks and corners with Peter Whittingham's delivery. Don't be surprised to see him attempt to score directly from corners.

Which players should we look out for in the Cardiff side today?

Our players of the season have arguably been David Marshall, our goalkeeper, and Gary Medel in defensive midfield. Marshall has kept us in games time and again this season and his ability to collect crosses has improved markedly in the last 12 months or so. Medel is a class above the rest of our team, always willing to receive the ball in tight areas. If Liverpool can stop him from receiving the ball from the defenders then our passing game will quickly become non-existent. More important still is Medel's defensive influence. It will be his job to stop Liverpool's creative talents in their tracks, particularly Philippe Coutinho.

Also worthy of a mention is Jordan Mutch, who provides the side with a driving, physical presence and can easily turn defence into attack with a surging run. Kevin Theophile-Catherine at right wing-back gives us some much needed width and his engine means that he will always try to get forward. A possible weak link is Andrew Taylor at left-back, which should be noted by Glen Johnson.

One Liverpool player you'd like to take to Cardiff…

The obvious, but most honest answer, is Luis Suarez due to our lack of firepower up top! I was convinced it was going to happen as well, until he signed the new contract yesterday...

How do we go about beating Cardiff?

Where we are really likely to suffer is at either end. Our attacking threat is blunt, with Fraizer Campbell - although a willing worker - struggling to make an impact at this level and Peter Odemwingie yet to impress. If Suarez chooses, as is likely, to target Ben Turner, it is very difficult to see him coping, especially with his ironically lacking turning ability.

Tell us your favourite Liverpool v Cardiff memory from down the years...

We have great recent memories against Liverpool where, against the odds, we took them to penalties in a Carling Cup final and had Anthony Gerrard scored from the spot, we may have even won it! Turner's equaliser in that game must go down as one of our greatest recent memories.

One song we can expect to hear on Saturday?

Expect our fans to be loud and vociferous, particularly in their support of Malky Mackay. I sense a siege mentality building against our owner and despite red/blue divisions within our own support - we're all pro-Malky!

Prediction?

The prediction, regretfully, has to be a 3-0 home win (I'd love to say 2-1 to us!) We are going to sit back and will struggle to contain Liverpool.
