Coutinho: Our aim is simple
Philippe Coutinho is aware that Sunday's away trip to Stoke City will be a substantial challenge for Liverpool, but highlights the Reds' confidence as they plot a third successive victory.
The Britannia Stadium has been unforgiving to visiting teams this season, with the Potters surrendering three points just once at home in the campaign.
The 21-year-old midfielder is expecting Stoke to be resolute on their own turf, but believes his teammates will stick to their task and maintain a perfect record for 2014. Liverpool overcame Hull City 2-0 at Anfield, before seeing off Oldham Athletic by the same scoreline in the FA Cup.
Coutinho is counting on another triumph as Brendan Rodgers' men look to keep pace at the top of the table.
"Our aim is to win every match, we know that we have a lot of very difficult matches but we start each match with confidence to win at all times," said the playmaker.
"Every match is very difficult and in the away games, sometimes the home teams get very tight at the back.
"But we have to carry on doing what we have been doing so far and in the away matches we must do what we normally do by giving our best and being attentive to all details until the end of the season in order to be able to achieve our targets."
The Brazilian added: "It will be very hard like every other match. As I said before, we have to start the match well, fully concentrated from the first minute and not allowing them much space, so we are able to finish the last part of the season in a great position."
