Jordan Henderson considers the return to full fitness of Liverpool and England teammate Adam Lallana – and with it the opportunity for the playmaker to express his skillset – a 'massive plus' for club and country.

The Reds' vice-captain has been a vocal celebrator of the former Southampton star's abilities since he sealed a transfer to Anfield in the summer, having had the chance to collaborate on a daily basis on the training pitches at Melwood.

Last Saturday, the pair worked in destructive tandem to guide their team back to winning ways in the Barclays Premier League, with Henderson teeing up Lallana for the opener past West Bromwich Albion before later slamming in the decider himself.

Three Lions duty has demanded more of the same from the two in qualifying fixtures for Euro 2016 this week - alongside colleagues Rickie Lambert and Raheem Sterling - and the duo each clocked up 45 minutes in Thursday's 5-0 victory over San Marino.

Today they are in Tallinn, preparing for the challenge of facing Estonia in their latest Group E task, and ahead of the encounter Henderson reiterated his appreciation for a player that has become an instant favourite among Kopites.

"I thought Adam did very well when he came on the other day," the relentless midfielder, who will hope to win a 16th cap this evening, told FATV. "He has been brilliant since he came to Liverpool.

"He obviously picked up an injury, which was unfortunate for him and the team. But he worked extremely hard behind the scenes to get back fit and now I think he's looking back to where he wants to be - sharp and fit.

"You can see that in his closing down and pressure on the ball, and also when he's attacking. It's a massive plus for Liverpool and England because he's a fantastic player. He's still progressing as well, so hopefully he can just keep getting better."
