Brendan Rodgers has opted to make seven changes to his Liverpool team for today's Barclays Premier League lunchtime kick-off against leaders Chelsea at Anfield.

The skipper, Steven Gerrard, and vice-captain Jordan Henderson are among the players to be brought back into the XI after beginning Tuesday's Champions League tie at Real Madrid on the bench.

At the back, Glen Johnson and Dejan Lovren are recalled alongside Alberto Moreno and Martin Skrtel as the Reds seek to bring the Londoners' unbeaten streak in the division to an end on home soil.

Meanwhile, it is all change in attack. Mario Balotelli, Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling combine across Rodgers' forward line for a match that gets underway on Merseyside at 12.45pm GMT.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Moreno, Skrtel, Lovren, Gerrard, Can, Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling, Balotelli.

Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Lucas, Allen, Lallana, Borini, Lambert.
