The Brazilian's energy was boundless at Anfield, with his intense pressing and capacity to retrieve possession regularly allowing the Reds to attack from advanced positions against the Gunners.
It was the No.10's delicate shimmy to the right and drive to the left that bounced off the woodwork and into the net to hand the hosts an advantage, and his diligence was evident throughout and until the drama of that late Martin Skrtel equaliser.
