The Liverpool FC Foundation Football College has been invited to participate in prestigious Premier League/Football League U19 Development League for the 2015-16 season.

The league, which is specifically designed to for youth development, will give the Foundation College youngsters the chance to showcase their talents at the likes of Tottenham Hotspur's Enfield and Chelsea's Cobham training grounds.

Liverpool FC Foundation Football College head of coaching and technical development, Carl McAuley said: "This is fantastic news for the youngsters of our city who have yet to make a breakthrough in the game.

"There are plenty of late developers and released players who have not had the chance to find a professional or semi-professional club but competing in this league provides them with a real opportunity to achieve this.

"Working with our coaches and playing in the PL/FL U19 Development League and the highly acclaimed Dallas Cup we hope to see more of our players progressing onto greater things."

There have been numerous success stories with players in the PL/FL Development League gaining scholarships and professional contracts at the likes of Chesterfield, Watford and Birmingham City.

If you are aged 16-18 and interested in joining Liverpool FC Foundation Football College the next open trials will take place at Wyncote Sport Ground on Thursday and Friday, May 28/29 between 1pm BST - 3pm.
