Liverpool FC is once again supporting Liverpool Pride this year, with members of staff taking part in the Pride March across the city this weekend.

In 2012, the Reds became the first Barclays Premier League club to support a UK Pride march and are delighted to continue the support.

LFC representatives will march alongside the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community in a celebration of the culture of the city on Saturday August 1.

This year marks the sixth anniversary of Liverpool Pride, which was established in 2010 and coincides every year with the date of the gay teenager Michael Causer's murder seven years ago.

The event promises to be one of the city's most flamboyant occasions of the summer, with the march beginning and ending at St George's Hall and with a free events programme taking place in the prestigious St George's Quarter and within St John Gardens.
