Liverpool FC showed its support at Liverpool Pride this weekend, with members of staff taking part in the Pride March across the city.

Club representatives marched from Liverpool's iconic St George's Hall, which was illuminated in an array of coloured rainbow lights, in celebration of the city's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Beginning at midday, this year's march, which was attended by hundreds of people, for the first time ever included the Stanley Street Gay Quarter.

Following the march, attendees then enjoyed pink lemonade and afternoon tea at The Pride Pink Picnic held in St John's Gardens, with screenings of four LGBT feature films - 'Hairspray', 'Pride', 'Soft Lad' and 'Dressed as a Girl' - at the Picturehouse Travelling Cinema.

Liverpool Pride was established in 2010 and coincides every year with the date of the gay teenager Michael Causer's murder six years ago.
