Liverpool Football Club are delighted to today launch the exciting new re-design of Liverpoolfc.com home and news pages.

Created for the start of the 2015-16 season to provide an optimised, user-friendly experience, the new-look pages have been developed to give fans an enhanced web journey no matter what device the club’s official website is viewed on.

Designed using the latest online technology available, both the home and news sections are now fully optimised and compatible with mobile and tablet devices – and we’ve also made it easier for fans to join the social-media conversation with live feeds from the homepage.

With improved navigation and functionality, the website is the destination for all Liverpool fans to access breaking news and club information before anyone else, wherever they are, on any device. As the central destination for our global family, Liverpoolfc.com brings fans an immersive and streamlined experience enabling them to interact with the club and each other on a daily basis.

The homepage displays a clearer layout making information easier to find, with fixtures and results available at first glance, with a new streamlined navigation making all site content available within a couple of clicks. The family of LFC microsites can all now easily be accessed via the site’s new masthead.

The main news page – an ever-popular section for our online visitors - showcases stories, high-quality videos and photo galleries, and the ‘Media Watch’ feature, which will continue to allow fans to access all of the news regarding the Reds from a single source.

LFC chief media officer, Matthew Baxter, said: “The new optimised website design has been created with our extensive global fan base in mind, and allows fans to engage and interact with the club on whatever device they want, anywhere, at any time.

“The website has always been an important way for us to share information about the club and players. This new design will ensure an engaging, convenient experience for users of all ages.”

Completion of this first phase will be complemented by the remaining aspects of the site under development, due to be completed later in the season bringing new and exciting features to the rest of the site.

These changes, which better support the club’s digital ambitions across all departments, have been in the making for over a year and the site has been designed and built by the in-house LFC Technology and Transformation team over the last six months.
