Robbie Fowler plundered many a goal in front of the Kop and the Liverpool legend even managed one while suffering serious dizziness at half-time on Saturday, to help raise awareness of the Global Goals campaign.

Professional players, former stars and football fans around the world have been trying the Dizzy Goals Challenge during the past few weeks – including the Reds’ very own Joe Gomez and Jordon Ibe.

It’s all to support the Global Goals initiative, which aims to help end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice and tackle climate change with 17 ambitious targets for sustainable development.

Liverpool’s main sponsor Standard Chartered is a founding partner of the Global Goals and has combined with the club to raise awareness in recent weeks, notably swapping the logo on the team’s shirt to that of the campaign at the weekend.

And at the interval in the Reds’ 3-2 win over Aston Villa, ambassador Fowler was joined by a group of youngsters to take a dizzy penalty at the Kop end – click play above to see how they got on.
