Origi scoops December's best strike award
Divock Origi's emphatic finish in the 6-1 Capital One Cup win at Southampton has been voted by fans as Liverpool's EA SPORTS Goal of the Month for December.
The Belgian forward added his second strike of the evening when he crashed a shot into the roof of the net from substitute Jordon Ibe's pass to grab the Reds' fourth of the night.
The effort picked up 29 per cent of the total votes cast to finish ahead of Jordan Henderson's opening goal in the 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion.
Daniel Sturridge scored two brilliant goals during the cup win at St Mary's and his second and opening efforts finished in third and fourth spot respectively in our poll.
Origi's dramatic leveller against West Bromwich Albion came in fifth place.
