Steve McManaman scored a sensational strike in a 6-1 win for Liverpool away at Crystal Palace in 1994, and we invite you to relive that effort again now in our Goal of the Day.

With Roy Evans starting his first full season in charge of the Reds the first game of the 1994-95 season at Selhurst Park could not have gone any better.

Already leading 1-0 courtesy of Robbie Fowler's penalty, another Scouser soon added a second with a touch of individual brilliance.

Collecting Jan Molby's fantastic first time pass, McManaman set off on a run down the left flank from his own half to the edge of the Palace penalty area. After cutting inside Chris Coleman, he unleashed an unstoppable strike beyond the reach of Nigel Martyn and into the back of the net.
