Adam Lallana admits Liverpool head to Selhurst Park this afternoon with revenge in mind due to their recent run of results against Crystal Palace.

The Eagles have beaten the Reds in each of the past three Barclays Premier League meetings between the sides and inflicted a first defeat on Jürgen Klopp as manager in November.

Lallana and co are therefore determined to halt that streak today by reproducing the kind of display which Manchester City could not handle at Anfield in midweek.

“We had a good result there in the cup last year, so it’s not all negative memories, they have not won against us every time,” the midfielder said of Palace.

“But they beat us this year at Anfield so we need to get some revenge. We know we need to go on a good run if we want to achieve something special towards the end of the season.

“It’s a very difficult place to go. They have been on a difficult run and find themselves not too far away from the relegation places – I’ve read that they think they’re in a relegation battle – so it’s going to be a very tough game.

“We need to be fully focused on the game and do what we did on Wednesday night.”
