Liverpool's final home game of 1984-85 was a seven-goal thriller in front of the Kop.

After a season of disappointment in the league little did anyone know this would be Joe Fagan's last Anfield match in charge of the Reds.

With the European Cup final at Heysel on the horizon, the hosts conjured up a brilliant attacking display to beat the Hornets.

In fact, Watford looked set for a surprise victory when - inspired by future Red John Barnes - they found themselves 2-0 up at half-time.

However, two goals from Ian Rush, one from Kenny Dalglish and a penalty netted by John Wark gave Fagan's men a 4-3 success.
