Kenny Dalglish's magnificent title winning team of 1987-88 were at their very best with a Peter Beardsley-inspired win at Vicarage Road.

Despite Watford playing surface resembling something of a mud bath on this particular February day, it didn't stop the Reds from producing another display of fluent attacking football.

Beardsley in particular was almost unplayable, firing two brilliant goals, while the other two thirds of that deadly trio - John Aldridge and John Barnes - were also on the mark.
