A second-half hat-trick from Roger Hunt sealed a 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion at Anfield in September 1968.

With legendary Baggies forward Jeff Astle leading the opposition line this was a tough test for Bill Shankly's side.

An early Geoff Strong goal put the Reds in front but Tony Brown levelled.

The second 45 minutes belonged to Hunt as the unstoppable No.8 netted a treble to seal a 4-1 victory.
