No.1: Phil Thompson
We start with our former captain and assistant manager Phil Thompson who has this message to Jürgen Klopp and his players.
“What a fantastic achievement for them all to get through to a European final.
“For all of the league games we have won in the past, all the league titles we have won, Europe has always been special for this club.
“It’s these lads who have had to hear the stories about us winning European Cups and trophies, and now this is their turn and their time to make themselves heroes – to be remembered for many years, decades to come.
“I would say to the boys enjoy your day and make sure you enjoy it. I want to pass on my best wishes to Jürgen Klopp and all of his staff and to say to everybody make sure you win and bring that cup back home.”
