No.7: Roy Evans
Former manager and coaching legend Roy Evans is next to pass on his best wishes and insists the Reds can bring home another European trophy to their famous cabinet.
“I want to wish Jürgen Klopp and the lads all the very best and all of us hope they go and win it.
“We have had a great run in this competition. There have been some fantastic games to watch, some really enjoyable football and I’d like to see us top it by winning it in Basel.
“European nights at Anfield have always been great, but this year we have some truly special games against Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund - which was just fantastic - and Villarreal.
“I must be honest, I’m not a great fan of the format of this Europa League - but now we are in the final I’m desperately hoping we can go and win it.
“Nothing is easy in football but if we can turn up on the night with our ‘A’ game then we will have a very good chance of bringing the trophy home.
“Jürgen has got all of the Liverpool supporters smiling again. He seems to connect with the fans, he tells it how it is and he shows a great amount of passion which is always good.
“I think he has brought a lot of belief back to the fans that we can go forward and start to win trophies again.”
