No.7: Rush gets Reds title hopes back on track at Spurs
After losing 2-0 in the Anfield derby to title rivals Everton, Liverpool were in need of some inspiration.
When you have Ian Rush in your team there is always hope and so it was to prove at White Hart Lane.
Trailing to an early Chris Waddle strike after a mistake by Bruce Grobbelaar, this team showed character in abundance.
Jan Molby drew the Reds level on 66 minutes and then, in the last minute, Rush poked the ball past Ray Clemence for the winner.
Recalling the dramatic win, captain of the team Alan Hansen told Liverpoolfc.com: “I think it was the biggest goal of that season.
"I think if we’d drawn that game we would never have won the league.”
