No.2: A derby hat-trick on his debut
Although not credited as an official stat in the history books, the debut of new striker St John was certainly memorable.
He first put on the famous red jersey in a Liverpool Senior Cup final against Everton on May 9, 1961.
Although the Reds lost the game 4-3, St John fired a hat-trick and Liverpool supporters present at Goodison Park that day knew that Shankly had signed a real gem.
