Liverpool's fourth pre-season fixture sees the team travel to Huddersfield Town, just hours before their tour of America gets underway.

The Reds will hope to maintain a 100 per cent record so far this summer when they face the Championship side at the John Smith's Stadium, and we'll be keeping you updated right here.

Dejan Lovren heads out to pick up the Shankly Trophy.

The season hasn't even started and we've already got silverware in the bag!

Full Time

Huddersfield Town 0-2 Liverpool

Marko Grujic and Alberto Moreno do the damage during another productive outing for the Reds.

Four pre-season games, four clean sheets and four victories - not bad going ahead of the trip to the United States!

90

Huddersfield Town 0-2 Liverpool (Moreno)

Alberto Moreno steps up and sends the 'keeper the wrong way to seal the win for the visitors. A very classy penalty!

89

Penalty

Kent goes down under a late challenge in the box after a powerful run and the Reds have a spot-kick!

87

Another short break in play as a Huddersfield player receives treatment now.

In other news, Kevin Stewart is fine to continue.

83

Into the 83rd minute here with Huddersfield pushing for a goal it's worth reminding you that we would go to penalties tonight in the event of a draw as the teams fight for the Shankly Trophy.

Kevin Stewart does his bit to prevent that with a fine sliding challenge in the box, but he'll need a quick spell of treatment now.

75

Town are piling the pressure on now and they go close to equalising as Kyle Dempsey fires a shot in from distance.

Karius has his angles covered, however, and watches the ball fly wide as he pulls off a dive.

67

Substitution

Incredibly, young goalkeeper Shamal George has now entered the fray in place of Lucas Leiva to play as an outfield player.

And he almost sets up Markovic with his second touch! I love pre-season...

62

Injury

Lucas Leiva pulls up as Liverpool move forward and tonight's captain will have to make way due to what looks like a hamstring injury.

59

Ings has made a good start to the half for the Reds, with his pressing and workrate setting the tone up top.

51

Huddersfield threaten down the left-hand side but Karius shows great hands to collect a cross powered across his box from the wing.

46

Liverpool get the game back under way with the Reds attacking their own fans this half.

HT

All change

Alexander-Arnold, Wisdom, Woodburn, Kent, Markovic and Ings on at half-time, with Randall, Ejaria, Firmino, Mane, Coutinho and Marko Grujic off.

Stat attack

Take a look at the numbers behind that half of football with our Opta chalkboard below.

Half Time

Huddersfield Town 0-1 Liverpool

Marko Grujic's goal is the difference at half-time in what has been an entertaining game here in Yorkshire.

The Reds have had a host of chances and the only disappointment is that they aren't further ahead.

40

Yellow Card

Tommy Smith goes in the book for an overly enthusiastic challenge on Alberto Moreno on the wing.

Needless from the Huddersfield full-back.

34

Penalty

Liverpool win a penalty when Mane shows his electric pace again and beats Coleman to the ball with a delicate touch.

However, Coutinho can't beat the home goalkeeper with a spot-kick curled to the left-hand side of the goal - it was some save, to be fair.

32

Goal

Huddersfield Town 0-1 Liverpool (Grujic)

The Reds are ahead! Mane bursts forward on the right-hand side and pushes the Town defence back before unleashing Firmino inside the box.

The Brazilian coolly looks up and picks out Grujic before the young midfielder doubles his pre-season tally with a controlled left-footed volley.

30

Match shot

Roberto Firmino holds off his man at John Smith's Stadium.

Liverpool have the ball in the back of the net after Coleman misses the ball, but Mane is penalised for a push on the Town goalkeeper.

Moments later, the hosts test Karius with another long-range shot, but the German pulls off a fine full-length save to keep the ball out.

17

A fine exchange from Liverpool ends in Grujic sending Mane into the box on the right-hand side but, after the Senegal international cuts back in, he can only find the side netting with a left-footed effort.

Good play from the Reds.

13

The first big chance of the game goes to Huddersfield, but Lolley can only drive wide from the edge of the box after good approach play.

Van La Parra then hits one past the post from a similar distance as the hosts continue to threaten.

8

The Reds dominating possession so far and looking particularly sharp in their pressing game.

Jürgen will be happy with what he's seen so far, no doubt about that.

1

Kick-Off

Huddersfield get the game under way here, with Liverpool attacking the end opposite to where their fans are housed this evening.

Pre-match

Only five minutes to go until kick-off here and 'Hey Jude' by The Beatles is belting out over the PA.

Great song.

Pre-match

Loosen up

And now the whole team are out at a sun-bathed John Smith's Stadium, with Andreas Kornmayer leading the outfield players in their warm-up.

Pre-match

Warm-up begins

As ever, the goalkeepers are out first to be put through their paces by John Achterberg.
