No.9: 'Supersub' saves the Reds again
David Fairclough produced one of his legendary rescue acts as he came off the bench to inspire a 2-0 victory in a League Cup third-round tie at Anfield, in October 1977.
After entering the field as a 70th-minute replacement for John Toshack, just two minutes after coming on he made it 1-0.
Three minutes later, Fairclough was on target again to seal a victory over Tommy Docherty's side.
