There was something of an FA Cup classic staged when Liverpool came back from 2-1 down to beat Hull City 3-2 in the FA Cup fifth round at Boothferry Park back in February 1989.

Things looked to be going smoothly for the Reds when John Barnes fired them into a 15th minute lead, but the home side refused to lie down.

In front of their watching director and Liverpool legend Emlyn Hughes, the Tigers sensed a giant-killing act could be on the cards.

Indeed, Billy Warhurst made it 1-1 and Keith Edwards then turned the game around when he gave the hosts the lead on the stroke of half-time.

However, Kenny Dalglish's side soon clicked into gear and got into their trademark stride - and two goals in the space of a minute from John Aldridge turned the tie on its head.
