Klopp's first game in charge saw Liverpool head to White Hart Lane to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds battled to a 0-0 draw, with Divock Origi coming closest to breaking the deadlock for either side as he hit the crossbar with a close-range header in the first half.

It was the visitors' relentless pressing that most stood out, however, and the manager spoke after the game of his delight at what he had seen while also promising more.

"We will get stronger. We were a little bit nervous when we got the ball because the pulse was a little too high at this moment. There were many full-throttle moments in the game. We need to improve but after working with the players for three days I am completely satisfied."
