Read on for our summary of what has happened at LFC today...

Our top three stories...

Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho have been key figures in the Reds' good start to the season, and so they should know exactly why things have clicked early on.

Unsurprisingly, they both highlighted Jürgen Klopp's influence as key.

Speaking of Firmino, the Brazilian has given a revealing interview in his homeland about life on Merseyside and Liverpool's aims for this season.

Another player who has enjoyed a standout opening to the campaign is Jordan Henderson, whose captaincy of England tonight inspired our latest quiz.

The 26-year-old has adapted quickly to a new, deeper midfield role, but it is his qualities as a leader that have caught the eye of former LFC man Gary McAllister.

Yesterday evening, Coutinho and LFC were recognised in the 2016 edition of the MBNA Northwest Football Awards. Read all about the prizes received here.

Adam Lallana scored for England again, but the Three Lions were held to a 2-2 draw after two late Spain goals. Henderson and Nathaniel Clyne played the full 90 minutes, with Daniel Sturridge an unused substitute.
