Our top three stories…

Our lead story today came courtesy of the boss and his chat with us in the aftermath of Saturday’s goalless draw at Southampton.

"Second half, [we showed] a good reaction and it was a concentration battle: who loses concentration first will lose the game," said Klopp. "We didn't lose it, they were waiting for the moment and we didn't give this moment away.”

Elsewhere, Jürgen explained why he expects Liverpool to come up against teams determined to thwart their free-flowing attacking play on several further occasions before the campaign is concluded.

“We are [a team] to stop, unfortunately. The only thing what we have to make sure is that it’s not because of us,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wijnaldum lifted the lid on what Klopp said to the players in the dressing room at St Mary’s in the aftermath of the Reds’ Saints stalemate.

“The manager is a positive guy, a positive manager and he was satisfied with the game we played. We have to keep it in perspective,” said the Dutchman.
