Our top three stories...

We start with the news that a Liverpool legend has called time on his career.

Former Reds captain Gerrard announced today that his days as a professional player are over after he departed MLS outfit LA Galaxy earlier this month.

Back at Melwood, the manager was busy speaking to the world's media ahead of Saturday's meeting with Sunderland.

Klopp reflected on the prospect of selecting his team for the clash with the Black Cats, explaining that the Reds 'have not the biggest injury issues' going into the weekend.

Meanwhile, Philippe Coutinho, who will be hoping to retain his starting place against David Moyes' side, explained the secret behind his fine recent form.
