Reds to host Plymouth Argyle in FA Cup third round
Liverpool will face Plymouth Argyle of League Two in the FA Cup third round at Anfield.
The tie will be played on Sunday January 8 2017, with kick-off set for 1.30pm GMT. The game will be shown live on BT Sport.
Plymouth, the current League Two leaders, earned the right to face a trip to Anfield after a 1-0 second round replay win at Newport County on Wednesday night.
Graham Carey scored the only goal of the game with a penalty in extra-time.
The last competitive meeting between the two sides was April 1962 when Liverpool edged out Plymouth Argyle 3-2 in a thriller, with Roger Hunt firing the winner.
