Hendo welcomes USA legend Carli Lloyd to Melwood
Melwood welcomed a special guest through its doors earlier this week as United States women's national team legend Carli Lloyd dropped by to visit Liverpool's training complex.
The decorated midfielder, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and World Cup winner, took a tour of the facility and met Reds captain Jordan Henderson.
This came after her first ever visit to Anfield for Jürgen Klopp’s side’s 4-1 win over Stoke City.
“People had told me it's an incredible atmosphere and it definitely lived up to my expectations,” said Lloyd.
“I don't think there is another club that has an atmosphere like that at Anfield. I would love to play in front of that crowd. It was amazing.”
Lloyd will also attend Liverpool’s New Year’s Eve fixture with Manchester City, while fans will be able to watch her exclusive interview with Henderson on LFCTV GO in the New Year.
