With December now behind us, it is time to select your Standard Chartered Player of the Month.
It was a largely fruitful period for Liverpool after a slow start, which saw Jürgen Klopp’s men beaten at Bournemouth and held on home soil by West Ham United.
The Reds recovered to claim a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough – with Adam Lallana on target twice – and continued that form with a dramatic win at Goodison Park in stoppage-time thanks to Sadio Mane’s finish.
Stoke City were put to the sword at Anfield as Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge notched, and then a stunning header from Georginio Wijnaldum proved enough for a crucial win against Manchester City.
But who was the star performer?
