Garcia: Champions League return is crucial for Reds
Luis Garcia wants to see Liverpool doing all they can over the remainder of 2016-17 to ensure Champions League football returns to Anfield next term.
The Reds have featured in Europe's premier cup competition just once in the last six seasons - an ill-fated campaign two years ago which ended at the group stage.
And, though hopes of a potential title challenge this time around have taken a hit of late, Garcia insists the chance to sit at Europe's top table next season is motivation enough for the 13 remaining games.
"We still have to think [about] getting the top four," the Spaniard said in the latest episode of #LFCWORLD.
"At the beginning of the season we were talking about that [but] Liverpool arrived to fourth place, third place, and suddenly we realised that they would have a chance to win the trophy and we started changing our [aim].
"Even though we have struggled in 2017 with a few of the results, the team is getting back on its feet with a fantastic result against Tottenham.
"We have to continue [thinking] about bringing Champions League back to Anfield.
"If something bigger arrives, that's fantastic, but the most important [thing] is to bring the team back to play in those important games in the Champions League."
