Mohamed Salah is taking great encouragement from the continual improvements made by Liverpool since the start of pre-season training.

The Reds capped off a week-long stay in Hong Kong by clinching the Premier League Asia Trophy courtesy of a 2-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday.

That makes it three wins and a draw for Jürgen Klopp's side in the four friendlies they have contested since returning from the summer break.

And new arrival Salah is delighted with how things are going so far.

"I think we've had quite a good start, we've played [four] games and won three - it's a good start for us," he told Liverpoolfc.com.

"And every game we're getting better and better, so that's the most important thing.

"It's a friendly but it's important for us to win every game and you see the team improving and that's important."

Salah bagged his second goal for the club since signing from AS Roma late last month as he headed in a Philippe Coutinho chip to help down the Foxes yesterday.

The Egyptian paid tribute to his teammates and the manager for the ease with which he has slotted into the Reds' attack.

"We try to play good football," he added.

"We do what the boss says and try to enjoy the game and also to work hard. I hope it can work every time!

"The team, we have very good players, who play with heart and with quality, with different styles.

"I'm playing well with them and trying to show my football."

The 25-year-old also expressed excitement at the prospect of training in cooler weather next week as Klopp and co head back to Europe.

He said: "It's too hot here!

"We're going back tonight, flying 14 hours, and I think the English weather will be much better!"
