James Pearce, LFC correspondent for the Liverpool Echo, is next up...

Who will win the league?

I think it will be much more open this season. I can't see anyone running away with it like Chelsea did last season. Manchester City have to be favourites to win the title but it will be close.

Where will Liverpool finish?

One or two more signings and I'd be confident that Liverpool could really sustain a title challenge, but as it stands I'd say third or fourth.

What do you think of the new additions to the squad?

I like all three. I wasn't sure about Mohamed Salah when Liverpool bought him but he's had an excellent pre-season. His pace is frightening and he's already shown how much he's developed since that unhappy spell at Chelsea. Dominic Solanke has also settled very quickly. He's got so much potential and he's really grasped the chances Jürgen Klopp has given him in the friendlies. Andy Robertson looks a good fit for Klopp's brand of football. The Scottish left-back has already shown how good he is going forward. Defensively, there's some work to be done but he will benefit massively from working with Klopp on the training ground.

Surprise package team?

I can't see anyone breaking into last season's top six. But West Ham have made a few decent additions and should be better this time around.

Player of the Year?

Philippe Coutinho.

Relegated?

Huddersfield, Brighton and Burnley.

LFC player to watch?

Trent Alexander-Arnold. Massive season ahead for the gifted teenager.

One hope as a reporter this season?

Reporting on Liverpool winning a trophy. It's been far too long.
