Coutinho's best LFC goals: No.2 | v Arsenal, August 2016
The No.10's skill with the ball was evident from his earliest days at Liverpool but his set-piece prowess has been a more recent addition to an already overflowing collection of abilities.
If Coutinho perhaps needed a catalyst to bolster his conviction when standing over free-kicks, one came in the final seconds of the first half when the Reds faced Arsenal in their 2016-17 opener at Emirates Stadium.
With Jürgen Klopp's side trailing 1-0, the playmaker took control of a dead-ball situation from fully 30 yards. It appeared too far from goal for the experienced Petr Cech to be seriously troubled. Folly to try, arguably.
At least, that was, until Coutinho arced an unstoppable curler over the Gunners wall, out of reach of Cech and into the top left corner – caught perfectly along its path in the picture above.
Liverpool went on to win 4-3, while the Brazil international has since become a leading exponent of the free-kick art.
