Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane can both produce Premier League goalscoring landmarks when Liverpool face Burnley at Anfield on Saturday.

Salah is two goals short of a century in the Premier League after 159 appearances, with only four players (Alan Shearer, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Thierry Henry) having ever scored 100 in their first 160 matches in the competition.

Mane, meanwhile, will be looking to net his 50th goal at Anfield in the top flight when the Clarets arrive for the 12.30pm BST kick-off.

Should Liverpool take all three points, it will be the first time in their history that they have won the opening two league games for a fourth successive season.

Roberto Firmino has scored more goals against Burnley than any other Liverpool player in the Premier League era (five) – one more than Mane.

Jürgen Klopp's side have won six league fixtures in a row – their longest winning streak in the top flight since February 2020.

The team are also unbeaten in their last 11 league games (nine wins, two draws), keeping six clean sheets in that sequence.

The Reds are three goals short of recording 150 against Burnley in all league games.

There have been only three goalless draws in 88 league meetings between the clubs – the last in 1975. Only one has occurred at Anfield, which came in December 1920.
